ABOUT ME
BIO
Born in the US, raised in Germany, I have received schooling and higher education in both countries. My bicultural identity and international education have enabled me to combine my passions for language and art as a professional translator. I graduated valedictorian from my Diploma of Fine Art [Master's equivalent] from the State Academy of Fine Art in Karlsruhe in 2010, and have received academic and practical training in fine art, art history, linguistics, film and theater studies from UC Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Heidelberg, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art. This broad international experience has given me specialized knowledge and expertise in fine arts translation. Besides working as a free-lance translator full-time, I have also pursued my own practice as a visual artist over the last five years from London. In over 10 years of professional experience, I have worked with numerous publishers, galleries, academic and arts institutions in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
